Soul Simple wants to inform you about our Classic and House Music Weekend Freestyle Dance Off competition happening during the annual music conference here in Miami. Every March the Winter Music Conference takes place featuring some of the hottest club DJ's around. We take the opportunity during this time to present our own events and included in them is the CHMW Freestyle Dance Off.
If you are interested visit our website at www.soulsimpleentertainment.com. We support HDI and have even worked with some of their members and staff with our previous Dance Offs.
If you plan on being in Miami for WMC, check us out. We would love to have you compete is our event. If nothing else we are seeking your support in the event by spreading the word to all your friends.
as for feed back- i think some of the studio footage right in the beginning doesn't come across as powerful as the club shots that happen later. i have come across a similar issue with studio stuff ( i think those spaces can be visually distracting) but maybe some snipits of it are still useful ('cause of your crazy movement:)-
the contemporary dance clips are great. you are a beautiful dancer. why no high extensions on the dance floor ? :) the best shots for the untrained viewer will be the ones that focus more on you. it gets a little distracting with some of the group shots.
i have found with reels that you really have to tell the viewer exactly what to look at. and extra visual content con be easily distracting. anyway- just some thoughts :)
hit me up sometime (wendellcooper@gmail.com)- i am working on a new dance style- to be revealed next year - 'Stunting' - it's a high-level urban dance form that is a hybrid with contemporary technique (oh yeah, and it is a partner dance- non-gender specific duet and group partnering...) i think you'd like it
peace
